Coming out of the funk-dubstep style (along with Pretty Lights, Opiuo, Griz and many others), Gramatik experimented with the funkiest tools and sounds possible. Album after album Gramatik rises the bar higher and higher. Touring non-stop, gathering fans everywhere and getting respect and collaborating with other DJ’s
The many styles of Gramatik meet up in “Age of Reason”, swinging from left-to-right, up and down your spine. Coming from the same concept of “A Color Map of the Sun” by Pretty Lights, “Age of Reason” keeps production and quality on a high level. The organic sound and instrumentation are on the spotlight in this album. Adding Gramatik trademark kick-ass funk into this mixture and you got yourself one of the best sounding EDM releases.
“Age of Reason” is rich in variety and guests. Exmag, Cherub, Eric Krasno of Lettuce and many others melted their styles into this album. With this album Gramatik took his music to a new level and quality, added even more variety to his set and released the album for free on his soundcloud. It doesn’t get much better than this. So take your red pants out of that closed and funk it out!
